Meditation for Mental Peace This program is open to everyone, either to attend all classes orjust drop in when you choose. Although the classes are presented in several mini-series you can benefit from attending any of them, so just attend when you can. Dress is informal but respectful. If you wish you can stand as the teacher enters. Each class begins with a relaxing meditation followed by a Dharma talk by the teacher , Gen Tilopa who will explain an aspect of Buddhist teaching on how to become a better person. This is followed by a question and answer session and/or discussion, and concludes with a meditation based on the topic of the teaching. Mar 31-Apr 21 Dealing with Anger. The costs and disadvantages of anger, the benefits & practice of patience, using wisdom and compassion to overcome anger. Apr 28-May 12 Faith, Freedom and Spirituality; the nature and good qualities of faith. Faith in what? What is freedom, and how is it obtained? How faith leads to freedom and peace.
