Meditation for a Peaceful Mind

This program is open to everyone, either to attend all classes orjust drop in when you choose. Although the classes are presented in several mini-series you can benefit from attending any of them, so just attend when you can. Dress is informal but respectful. If you wish you can stand as the teacher enters.

Each class begins with a relaxing meditation followed by a Dharma talk by the teacher , Gen Tilopa who will explain an aspect of Buddhist teaching on how to develop your own mind and become a better person. This is followed by a question and answer session and/or discussion, and concludes with a meditation based on the topic of the teaching.

There are texts written by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso that will deepen your understanding of each topic in the program.

During the Summer of 2008, Clases will be on the book "Introduction to Buddhism" by Kelsang Gyatso. The class will be led by Students of the Foundation program class.
